| He tries... |
[Dec. 6th, 2009|10:37 am] |
So last night I'm writing on the laptop and Lee, my other half, is channel hopping. Over the top of the laptop I catch a glimpse of unmistakable eyes and my attention is hooked. "Look dear!" he says in an excited voice. "Look what I've put on for ya!"
Pearl Harbour is on TV.
So my attention is divided and I give up writing for a nice bit of eye candy.
Now Lee cannot, for the life of him, EVER remember the name Josh Hartnett. Ever. He once taped a film for me, then in his ever loving way gushed over the wonderful thing he did for me.
Lee: "I taped a film for you last night, with that guy you like." Me: "Which one?" Lee: "Can't remember. It's a comedy, he plays the President or something." Me: *confused all to Hell* "He hasn't played a President." Lee: *now equally confused* "Yeah... Josh Brolin, right?" Me: *laughing* "Hartnett, sweetie. Josh Hartnett." Lee: "Oh yeah... sorry."
So yeah, bless him... he tries.
I'm watching the last half of Pearl Harbour in peace, cursing that I've missed the love and fight scene, and when its over he's ragging on it to shit. I don't blame him, it's a shit film. Seriously. But I'll sit through three hours of it, just for the candy.
He says "But seriously, Ben Affleck's acting in that is just fucking dire. He should have read the script and gone 'Fuck...off... no amount of money...' And as for that... that.... damn... um... him... erm... Zeke!"
I just burst out laughing.
"It's the only name I can remember!"
Well that's just fine by me. |

1) God bless Cristmas. They've started showing the Armani Diamonds aftershave advert again. *slide*
2) Congrats to Honey, ASD & Mews on the MOME awards wins. All well earned.
3) I'm going back to NEW YORK! October. You people had BETTER be there! Or else! Flying out with ASD, hopefully. Then a week in Philly with my friend.
Today, is a very good day. |

| I has a virus |
[Nov. 20th, 2009|04:01 pm] |
My laptop is armed to the teeth but it appears something has been nibbling away at it undetected anyway.
I'm currently trying to salvage the bare minimum of files before it dies completely. Ironically, I'm typing now on a laptop I've been given to arm with security features before it's given as a gift. Without it I couldn't have googled the problem.
The lovely Josh pics I can get back with effort, the fics are online. I just need to save the chapter I'm working on. My biggest worry is the 1,200 photos from the USA.
*fingers crossed*
Wish me luck! |

If it takes me a while to comment on your feedback please be patient with me. It's not that I don't love and appreciate every piece of feedback, it's not. It's because it's hard!
I love how emotionally attached you guys are to my boys and well, so am I. So aching feedback is tough to respond to. I get guilt trips. I'm the one writing, I'm the one doing this to my boys and you're all suckered up for the ride. But then if you didn't like it, you wouldn't read it, right?
So yeah. Commenting on your pain at my boy's dilemma is tough. I get emotional. I'm stupid. I will respond. Just bear it in mind for now and future chapters. I'm just glad I post a few chapters behind so I can't be swayed from my original plot.
To everyone reading, thank you. To everyone not commenting, don't sweat it. It's tough at the moment, I know. Just commenting back is tough enough.
*goes and stares at feedback and tries to muster the courage to respond* |

So in London Aliensouldream tells me that my Unravelling Zeke fic will probably be novel length by the time it's finished.
So for shits n giggles I pasted all my chapters (minus disclaimers) into one document today.
So far you guys have read:
460 pages at pt12. That's 162,381 words.
I've another 1 and a half chapters written so far.
So that 476 pages and 168,334 words written SO FAR.
How long is novel length anyway? |

| Halloween Post... Again! |
[Oct. 31st, 2009|11:07 pm] |
My f/list isn't moving fast enough so I went back to the original Trick or Treat Grab Bag post to find other authors who may have posted already. I later noticed that 'Hellraiser' hadn't been claimed.
So a few minutes in Word later, I bring you a little NC-17 drabble using a line from the movie.

| Halloween Post! |
[Oct. 31st, 2009|02:11 pm] |
Today is Samhain for me. My New Year. So... happy New Year/Samhain/Halloween everyone!
This fic could have been better, but Unravelling Zeke has been kicking my ass lately.
This isn't particularly scary. There's no real horror, no gore - I've been SO well behaved. But it is in the Halloween spirit of things, so... ya know...
I chose the theme Re-animator. Fantastic H.P. Lovecraft story. Terrible film. I stole only the very basic of notions.
Much thanks to Aliensouldream (one day I will learn how to link) for organising the Z/C Trick or treat.
Title: Re-animator Author: Gabi Fandom: The Faculty Pairing: Z/C Rating: 15? R? Summary: Casey wakes in strange surroundings. Disclaimer: I own neither the rights nor the characters. If I did, Mr Tyler would be sporting a lovely new collar. I make no money. I have no money. Don’t sue me.

I lost a bet. Or a race, even. My coach back from London was late. ASD left London 3 hours after me and still beat me to Manchester. Her prize?
She requested a 'Zeke tied to the bed' drabble.
Here you go, girl.
Unbeta'd and a little raw. And yeah, NC-17
Totally inspired by the recent finds! I just can't do them justice in 100 words.
